Sat 18th June- pop up pizzeria!

Pop up pizzeria!

Saturday 18th June 2016, 11.30am – 3.00pm

A delicious combination of Italian flair and Devon food hits the Real Food Store this Saturday (18th June) when a pop-up pizzeria will bake pizzas in less than two minutes with guest bakers Simona and Antonia, founders of the food company Cibo.

Both students at the University of Plymouth, the friends run a small food importing business along side creating fresh tagliatelle and pasta sauces. As local food champions the Real Food Store welcomes innovation within the southwest region and particularly supports small food producers.

Store manager Natalie Ohlson is looking forward to sampling the freshest pizza in town: ‘Fresh, local food is the name of the game and whilst Exeter isn’t exactly Naples, we are think these two students have created a wonderful product range using as many locally sourced ingredients as they can. Sometimes a passion for real food is what makes it so amazingly special.’

Simona and Antonio grew up in Italy and in addition to creating genuine Italian food in Plymouth also import truffle products from a small family business in Italy.  On the 18th June, they will be bringing their “Ferrari” pizza oven to the Real Food Store, and cooking pizzas to order with dough they make themselves using Shipton Mill organic flour.  For more information visit their Facebook page
