Music with Tobias Ben Jacob
with support from The Sidewalk Anthem
Saturday 16th February at The Real Food Store
Tobias has toured the UK and the festival circuit extensively and recorded music in London, Nashville and live at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios. His most recent solo release 'Hard Times in Old London City' was recorded at Livingston Studios with Sonny, a producer/engineer who has worked on Mercury and Grammy nominated albums. Livingston Studios has played host to artists as diverse as Bjork, Jamie Cullum, Kate Rusby and the Buena Vista Social Club. Listen to or download Tobias's EP for a taster of what you are in for.
Tickets are £7 in advance from the Real Food Store and £8 on the door, subject to availability. The performance will start at 8pm.
A Bar & Early Bird Meal will be available. We will serve a choice of two winter warming stew pots, one vegetarian and one meat with Emma's Bread for £6 between 6.30pm and 8pm. The perfect alternative Valentine's Day celebration!
The Heart of Devon Cream Tea Trail
January & February 2013
We are part of the Devon Cream Tea Trail that is currently being promoted both nationally and internationally by the Heart of Devon. Throughout January and February, if you have a Cream Tea at The Real Food Store and love Emma's scones, Riverford's clotted cream and Shute Fruit's juicy, fruity strawberry jam, vote for us if you can find a moment.
Basic Bread Making Courses with Emma

To be held in the bakery at the Real Food Store, Paris Street, Exeter EX1 2JB
These are small hands-on classes (not a demonstration), so you will be up to your elbows in dough. Cost £35 per person to include all ingredients and course notes.

This is a hands-on practical approach to basic bread making, suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their skills covering different ingredients, techniques, some theory but most importantly edible results.

Autumn Supper Evening
Our supper evening was held in the café at the Real Food Store, Paris Street, Exeter EX1 2JB on Saturday 29th September. Thank you to everyone who came along. It was a great night. Keep an eye out here for more of these in the future.

Starter: Roasted beetroot and Gunstone goat's cheese salad with balsamic herb dressing
Main (2 choices): Slow roasted beef and mushroom puff pastry pie or oven roasted pumpkin and lentil puff pastry pie, served with seasonal vegetables and Shillingford roast potatoes
Dessert: Seasonal fruit fool with cinnamon shortbread
Served with Emma's pumpkin bread. There will be a bar with local wines, ciders and beers available to purchase.
