No Time to Lose by Veronica Gosling
8th June - 11th July 2014
Pop into the café for a coffee, tea, a bite to eat and scan the walls for some aesthetic and cerebral stimulation with our current exhibition by St. Leonard's artist Veronica Gosling, titled 'No Time to Lose'. Check café opening times for exhibition hours.
Veronica has a studio and sculpture garden in St. Leonards that oozes personality, full to the brim as it is with drawings, paintings and sculptures that stimulate the mind and emotions with their colour, fun and thought-provoking imagery. We are delighted to bring some of Veronica's warmth and reflection-inducing paintings and drawings into the café space upstairs during the Summer months, to enhance your next visit.
About her work, Veronica says:
“I often use animals to express my feelings, especially birds, and horses. It is easier this way to be objective! Like describing one’s feelings in the third person."
If you fancy heading to see Veronica's works in situ, her Studio is open for the weekend of June 28th, 29th and 30th June between 11am & 5pm. There will also be performances of The Ancient Mariner & The Ballad of Reading Gaol by Norman Bowler (voice roles in Softly Softly & Emmerdale) and Ruth Molins (flute) on the afternoon of Sunday 29th at 3pm. Tickets are £5 and booking would be helpful!
