Store Update
Apples are still coming in regularly from Shillingford Organics and at any one time we are seeing English Codlin, Ashmeads Kernel Russet, Golden Noble and Newton Wonder varieties gracing the store. It's a fine opportunity to stock up and get cracking with some homemade chutney.
POP IN FOR A CREAM TEA We have teamed up with the Heart of Devon tourist board to promote the Devonshire Cream Tea and our superb local produce including Shute Fruit jams, Dunn's Dairy or Riverford clotted cream and Emma's in-store baked scones, using Shipton Mill flour. The Real Food Store are on the Cream Tea City Trail and will compete with others for the 'Best Devon Cream Tea' prize. With the cooler weather settling in, it's a very good excuse to add a cream tea to your afternoon 'down time' experience next time you are in the store. Changing seasons are all about going with the flow. If you'd like to make a comment about your cream tea adventures in the café visit the Heart of Devon Facebook page.
Don't forget - around 70% of our producers come from within Devon and the remainder are within the West Country region or beyond. We only source outside the region if we cannot find essential products for our customers close by. If you would like to know more about our producers, please see our suppliers page. You'll be bowled over by the amount of wonderful produce we have right on our doorstep.
