Emma's Bread is the winner of the Best Baker / Confectioner of the Year, Devon Life Food & Drink Awards 2011!!
We are thrilled to announce that Emma's Bread, the artisan bakery inside the Real Food Store, has won the fabulous award of Best Baker / Confectioner at the Devon Life Food & Drink Awards! The Real Food Store is delighted to be finalists in two categories in the same Awards, Best New Enterprise / Innovation of the Year as well as Best Independent Food Shop of the Year. We are also shortlisted for the Devon Environmental Business Initiative Awards (DEBI) in the Food, Farming & Leisure category. This is a great achievement as we start our 9th month of trading. A big heartfelt thank you to all our customers for your support & of course your custom!
Lots going on: The Pumpkin Party on Saturday 29 October was a great success! A thoroughly enjoyable meal was had by all, a sizeable crowd merrily tucked into a delicious 3-course meal rustled up by our cook extraordinaire Kelly. The roasted veg & pumpkin tartlets were a triumph, the stew really hit the spot and the apple and blackberry crumble and cream ... hmm. All washed down with some excellent French organic wine supplied by Vintage Roots (now available in-store!) We are also a venue for Exeter Open Studios on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November so head to the cafe to see the new exhibition; the store will be open for shopping on Sunday 6 November. Festive fare and our Christmas range in store from Monday 7 November. A customer pre-ordering service for your turkeys, veg, wines, hampers & much more will be available from mid November.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Real Food Store!
